The Centre for European Studies at Chulalongkorn University in cooperation with the German Embassy in Bangkok would like to invite you to participate in the three-months lecture series on “Germany’s EU policy” by H.E. Mr. Rolf Schulze, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Thailand. The lectures will take place from September to November 2014.
The first topic ‘The Fall of the Berlin and European Integration’ will be presented on 20 October 2014, 13.30 – 15.30 hrs, at Room 105, Mahachulalongkorn Building, Chulalongkorn University.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall Europe saw a rapid development towards deeper integration, the introduction of a common currency and the enlargement of the EU. This lecture will explore the situation before and after the fall of the Berlin Wall and highlight the impact of this historic event on the European continent.
